CATEGORICAL (either “yes”, “no” or “genus”)
A convenience field specifying whether the species name is determined (yes), only to genus (genus) or not determined (no – in which case a free text description/identifier is given in quotes). This field is primarily included so that the data can be sorted and undetermined records removed for analysis, if required.

#voucher
TEXT
Unique voucher number with plot code and numbered from 1 for each individual plot, e.g. BLA-A-12 (Blackhill site, replicate plot A, voucher number 12 from that plot).

Date of species record (initially same as plot establishment date, but additional records may be added in future for monitoring).

Initials/surname of species record observers – generally identical to site observers.

Visual estimate of cover (projected foliage cover) to nearest 5% or scored 1% as present but low cover. Scored as OUT for selected plots that have point-intercept cover data if the species was not recorded in the 30 x 30 m plot but was scored in the 50 x 50 m plot.
